I found an Impact Investing Platform

I am Matiullah, mostly called Mati. An Afghan social entrepreneur born a refugee but returned and raised in Afghanistan. My homeland has been giving me a lot and a lot, as a result, it made me who I am today.

It was back in 2016 when I got to know about Entrepreneurship and its importance for the national economy. My interest attracted me towards this sector and resulted in taking over an idea stage acceleration program in Kabul. The understanding of problems in the market for early-stage aspiring entrepreneurs and my passion for the sharktank show made me think of becoming a shark and offer a solution to the access to finance problem for startups in Afghanistan. It was nothing but a dream at the beginning which then became a plan and the reason for me to start a new day each day for the last year.

Today, Tamveel is a platform that facilitates access to finance for startups in the form of impact_investing and to date, we have invested in two businesses in Afghanistan. Our passion and drive attracted 3 funding sources which we will be facilitating towards a bigger impact in the market. We envision a day when Tamveel can be the first option for access to finance coming to people’s mind while thinking of contributing towards a better future.
