The Hidden Treasure in The Private Sector
April 2020 marks the second birthday of our company BrightPoint. It has been now 2 years since I am in Private Sector and trying to find my way in this new world. I started with passion and along the way heard and faced sad realities. The pressure multiplied, the easy looking game felt hard to play and finally, the world was not the same inside out. Among all these ups and downs I found a hidden treasure.
I am usually a good listener; I love to listen to the very last word. I was blessed with great people around who in their turn taught me life-changing lessons and I remained a good student of life. Now at this point, I came across a treasure, this treasure changed my whole perspective and injected positive energy in me. It is what keeps me awake at night and makes me think more and more.
But what normally we don’t hear about is that when you involve someone in your company its more than a job you offer or a salary you pay. but it’s the new person’s dream you become part of, a vision you play a role and always a source to trust and seek refuge when there is literally no other way. This treasure helps us with inner peace and a peaceful mind & heart which is invaluable and you can never buy it through money. It is a beautiful feeling and an angelic lifestyle.
This treasure lies in each smile you can make others have, as a result of their confidence you have been part of in the process. It’s the trust you make them have on themselves and a beautiful image of a life you take part in the shaping process.

Since I got to know this, I am more passionate about working in the private sector. I had a paradigm shift while now I don’t have the same criteria for successful businesses as I had in the past. The private sector in its essence for me is all about dealing with people, helping them grow, becoming better at what they are the best and finally being part of the vision they all see for themselves.
Once you discovered this treasure then it doesn’t let you think of anything else. It doesn’t let you sleep even when it’s very late at night. It gives extraordinary energy incomparable to anything else on the face of the earth. It gives them energy and motivation to become more than who you are for your colleagues, to learn more, teach more and become more because you don’t want to let them down or to feel weak.
Everything goes back to its chemistry, its essence and its nut and bolts. Business is not only the transactions and profits that people generate as a tangible outcome of their business activities but it’s about letting your teammates and colleagues see the things uncommon to them, taking the steps they never thought they would take in their life and finally to become better versions of themselves and help thousands of others to choose a better today over a normal yesterday.
